Hey all,

As you may have already noticed, Fribiz is having many changes these days. We already doubled the number of open auctions and are about to launch more amazing auctions with new products really soon. Other changes and features are still being worked at and will be announced in the following week.

In the meanwhile, BuyItLoveIt.com, one of the coolest places to buy your gadgets on the best price, offered to sponsor you all a weekly mission. No need to submit pictures or videos, it’s easy as 1-2-3: They just want to know what is the gadget you want the most right now. This will help them (and us) to seek new products and deals for our customers.

Mechanics (super simple):

Go to BuyItLoveIt.com Facebook fan page. Submit to the wall an answer to this question: “What is the gadget you wish you could have right now and why?” At the end please state your fribiz username so we can reward you. If you wish, you can add a link to the product on the web.

2. We will choose our winners by the best lines and the most creative and interesting products picked. Be creative and unique.

How are you all!

Wew, the 7th weekly mission is sure to be very successful. There were lots of entries showing their own culture. Some showed there foods (very yummy looking!), some their best tourist spots (very tempting) and some showed their traditions through flag, customs and many, many more!

It is very refreshing and relaxing to see that though each one of us were raised in different cultures and traditions, as seen in your pictures, we are able to build a united fribiz community just like what we have now.

First hand, we would like to apologize for the delay of the 8th weekly mission. As of now, we would only announce the winners for the 7th weekly mission and will keep the 8th weekly mission as a secret =)

The reason for this is that in the next 2 days or so, we are announcing new features of fribiz. We plan to have the next weekly mission as an accompaniment of to the announcement of our exciting cool features in fribiz. So hold on tight as we gear up these changes!

Okay then, let’s end the wait. Here are the winners of the 7th weekly mission.

Just like the previous submissions, there were pictures that have an X-factor but didn’t make it to the top 3 entries. Some has submitted a very simple entry but had put a very descriptive caption that showed how proud are they with their culture and tradition. Some had submitted their entries with their friends as well. Some simply have this charm and charisma in their entries. For these entries, we will award them a special prize.

The first special prize goes to lumaluis for showing how Mexicans love cooking.

The second special prize goes to bluefirekid for showing how jolly Americans are.

Let’s then proceed with the next weekly mission. Our next weekly mission will be a very special one because this is the first WM that shall be sponsored by one of our affiliate: We Blog the World. Your mission is to submit a photograph that shows one of the culture or tradition of your country or anything that has been a trademark of your nation. It can be your flag, known food, known infrastructure, tourists spot and the likes. By the way if you are interested in travel / culture, you can follow them on Twitter @weblogtheworld .

Mechanics:

  1. Capture your culture or anything that will represent your country. Make sure that you are included in the picture so that we are assured that the photo is yours.
  2. Be sure that your username is included in the picture, it can be included in the picture itself or you can edit your picture so that you can add your username on it. You can also put your username in the caption field. We cannot give you credit if no username is visible to your work. If you happen to forget to include it, simply re-submit a picture with your username written on it
  3. Submit it to the wall of our affiliate program’s facebook fan page:We Blog The World. (You must click the I LIKE button on the top center part of the Facebook page so you can post on their wall)

Step by step guide in posting your picture in the facebook fan page (quoted from talelzam):

  • 1. go to the “we blog the world” page in facebook.
    2. click the “like” button.
    3. where you can post a message (the small box in the wall) there’s a little icon of a photo beneath the chat box, click it and choose “upload a photo”.
    4. choose the photo from your computer and write something about it (you can include a description and a username)

    Rules:

    1. You can only submit one picture for the entire length of the mission. If any member happens to submit more than once, we will consider his/her first entry as the official one.

    2. DO NOT use any form of digital editing aside from putting your username (see the mechanics). Photoshop or even paint is not allowed. No matter how beautiful your entry is, you will not be chosen as the winner.

    3. You cannot submit any picture that is copyrighted or is showing anything obscene or abusive.

    4. Be creative and unique :D

    5. Upon submitting the picture, you are giving us the right to use it on campaigns/ PR marketing or any purpose that will be used for the good of fribiz.

    How are you all? We just finished our 6th week. How fast time really is. For the past week, we received lots of suggestions and ideas from our beloved users. We are working our very best to include your most requested feature in fribiz. So if you have some more bright ideas, please don’t hesitate to post it in our getsatisfaction page

    Okay, the last weekly mission was a blast! There are many bright ideas that were submitted. However, we are not able to hit our target number of submissions so the price at stake will not be increased.

    As usual, there are some submissions that has this X-factor that really captures people. So though they are not the winners, we shall give special prizes to the following entries. A special award for Langstra for posting our Fred as a butler.

    Another special award will be given to warlessinho for making a very detailed Fred using Styrofoam (can you feel the effort?).

    Lastly, a special prize to Kraqlo for using his/her cute cat for this weekly mission! All special prize winners will be given with 75 000 FP.

    Now, it’s time to announce our winners. Our third place, will receive 400 000 FP. Congratulations to krlozn200 for submitting a simple and yet a very heart-warming Fred (he captured it with his little brother).

    Second place shall go to vercillius jr avanzado mila for having the idea of making Fred out of stones with his friends. You will be given 500 000 FP!

    Hello All!

    How are you? Wow, time really is flying. We didn’t even feel that we just crossed our week number 5! As we enter our sixth week, let us have a recap of what happened. We just opened a “get it” feature wherein you can use your fribiz points to acquire huge discounts on our offered items! We also added a new feature where you can get fribiz points from doing Matomy offers.

    Some of our members suggested all these two additional features, so if you have other ideas, suggestion, insights or even questions, please don’t hesitate to drop it to our Get Satisfaction page.

    Weekly mission #5 winners

    We are very happy that many responded to this weekly mission. Nevertheless, we are not able to hit the 500 submissions so the prize at stake will not be increased. Our top three winners are all based on a 50-50 criterion namely as the size and the creativity.

    However, we noticed that there are submissions who stood out on creativity or size only so we decided to give special prizes for these people. Our first special prize will go to darkpixie for submitting the largest fribiz of all. Another special award will be given to onpolice1 for submitting the most creative of all the diamond submissions.

    Aside from those two, there are also 3 entries that struck us. Though they don’t belong to the top three, there is an x-factor on the submission, it may be the caption or even the thought that we know how much time you have spent for that project. To this we give Maricrism a special award for having her pictures printed in violet to be formed as a diamond! Another special award will be given to francis 110 for using hollow blocks! Can you even imagine it’s weight? Lastly, a special award for akush for a cute submission ^_^ All of the special awardees will be given with 50 000 fribiz points!

    Moving to our winners, our third place goes to BOBOFDEAHT for collecting 400 violet spray paints to form our frizbiz logo! You will be awarded with 100 000 FP

    Our second place goes to Mahguin for having such a cute and unique idea! You will be given with 300 000 FP.

    Weekly Mission number 6: Let’s Fix Fred!

    As you have seen in the opening video and badges of fribiz, the violet man (which we call Fred) doesn’t have a face or a figure. Your task is to fix Fred! In short, you will make a tangible representation of Fred.

    Mechanics:

    1. Make Fred using any material you wish or any way you can think of. (petals, rocks, people, etc)

    2. Upload your picture by going to http://fribiz.tumblr.com/submit

    3. Important: Put your USERNAME on the caption field, without it, you cannot be credited.

    Rules:

    1. You can only submit one picture for the entire length of the mission. If any member happens to submit more than once, we will consider his/her first entry as the official one.

    2. DO NOT use any form of digital editing. Photoshop or even paint is not allowed. No matter how beautiful your entry is, you will not be chosen as the winner.

    3. You cannot submit any picture that is copyrighted or is showing anything obscene or abusive.

    We are about to push 2 new exciting updates to fribiz which were suggested by some of our great users by posting their ideas and feedbacks at our GetSatisfaction page.

    Josh, who shared his idea with us a few days ago, suggested we add a feature allowing you, beloved fribiz members, to buy our cool products immediately, like a store, through the use of your fribiz points (FP). Isn’t it genius?

    Yes, it is! From now on not only you can use your Fribiz points for bidding but also for buying the amazing stuff you always wanted!

    The Get It Now page is very simple. You simply choose how many fribiz you are willing to pay and the price of the product reduces! As simple as that. For example, if you put a 0 (zero FP), you would be paying the whole price of the product . As you increase the number of Fribiz you’d like to use, the cash price decreases.

    Please note that “Get it now!” sales are limited in 3 ways: First, there’s a maximum amount of fribiz to pay with to get the maximum discount (and that’s a HUGE discount most of the times). Second, every sale has a maximum amount of items we can sell, so it may close at any time if all the offered items are purchased. Third, Get It Now sales have time limits, just like auctions

    Matomy Offers

    Currently, you get fribiz for (1) inviting your friends to join fribiz (via Facebook, email or your referral link), (2) by buying fribiz, (3) by losing and getting the compensation fee or (4) by attending and winning our weekly mission.

    Here we go! Welcome to mission number 5! Your mission for this week: make the biggest Fribiz ever (the purple diamond)

    Mechanics:

    1. You should make Fribiz (diamond shape) out of any materials you wanted to.
    2. You can choose any color (but violet has a greater impact ;)
    3. The winners of this match will be based on the height and the creativity of your submission. Meaning, not because yours is the tallest, you will win same as not because yours is the most creative, you will be victorious. The judging will be on a 50-50 basis on these two aspects.
    4. Take a picture of your work beside any object where we can measure, directly or indirectly, the estimate height of your fribiz logo. You can picture it beside a car, your bed, a sofa etc. You can also picture it beside a meter stick!
    5. Upload it on our fribiz tumbler submission page at fribiz.tumblr.com/submit
    6. MAKE SURE YOUR PUT YOUR USERNAME IN THE CAPTION FIELD. Even though you are the winner, we cannot credit your account if no username is indicated. If ever you forgot to put your username, simply leave a comment in the comment box about that.

    Hello to all!

    Trivia of the week, did you know that fribiz just cross our first monthsary? Who can guess the exact date? In the coming days, we will surely celebrate our first month with you our dear members. In that way, we can thank you for making Fribiz more and more successful as the days pass by.

    We know that you have plenty of ideas suggested for our improvement and we are assuring you that we forward those to the main administration so that they can see what are the things to include in Fribiz. However, these changes can only be done one-step at a time so please bear and grow with us.

    The latest added feature of fribiz is the buying of fribiz points (FP) for a lower price! You might want to take advantage of it ;) Some members have suggested this sale of FP, so if you have other cool insights, please don’t hesitate to drop it to our getsatisfaction page.

    Okay, time to go to the main business. We will now announce the winner of our 4th weekly mission (WM) We are so glad that a lot of members are willing to participate and create their own videos even though it took them time. So we decided that instead of giving 20 000 FP to the first submission and 10 000 to the rest, we will simply award 50 000 FP to the people who submitted! Last time, we awarded special prices for the special submissions who were not chosen as winners.

    In this WM, we will also do the same, we will award AMVTop10 with 100 000 FP for submitting a video with a very cool animation embedded in it! Out of all the submission, we chose 3 videos who really struck us.

    The third placer is a submission by Stanislav. This submission is simply wonderful! The hip hop is very much appreciated. Congratz, you won 300 000 FP.

    Our second placer of this WM created his own tune, congratulations to Alonzx, we will award you with 500 000 FP.

    Our first placer is already obvious, even our main admin had posted it to our facebook page! Congratulations to BrucieLe for creating such incredible routine! We will award you with 700 000 FP.
