“I just want some sleep!” (or: The big products extension problem)

Some of you are hard players, fighting and clicking and earning fribiz points constantly. However, many of you complained that bidding all the time on bid products takes hours and sometimes days of extensions. This is tiring and sometimes frustrating. We know that. We had to come up with something to make our most loyal and active users happy again.

It took quite a while to develop, we fought bugs and daemons. but the Bid Bot is ALIVE.

“You’ve created a monster!” (or: what is this Bid Bot?)

The Bid-Bot is an adorable (Evil and Powerful! but adorable) robotic little helper that can place smart bids instead of you. It is that simple. You don’t have to be on the auction page, don’t have to be connected to fribiz, or even online! The bid bot will always place a bid in the final seconds of the auction with your name over and over again until you win the auction or run out of points.

“So, What’s the Catch?” (or: What’s the catch?)

A. the bid bot cost a starting fee which changes every auction. this fee, like any other fee on Fribiz- will not be returned.

B. The bid bot never stops unless you stop it! It can use up all of your points during the bidding, so make sure to stop it or buy/get enough fribiz in advance. But don’t worry, we will not charge you again for a starting fee after you stop it.

C. The bid bot will send you emails when you are about run out of fribiz, BUT these emails, because of reasons not dependent on us, might come in a certain delay. Don’t count solely on these emails to make a move. Emails might get stuck in traffic, spam folders or other servers, services providers issues that might cause a delay or miss-delivery. Be prepeard with your points and make sure you check your status.

How to run the Bid Bot?

1. Click on the “Start Bid Bot” button.

2. Read and approve the bot fee for starting the bot.

3. Done! The bid bot will start running and place a bid 2-3 seconds before the auction or extension end.

4. Want to stop the Bid Bot? just click the “Stop bid bot” button.

And now… a challenge: create the best  bidbot video tutorial and get 300,000 fribiz from us!

We will give 300,000 fribiz to the user that send us the *best* tutorial video explaining users about the bid bot and how to use the bid bot. We will use the video as our official tutorial for the bid bot.

The video must include screen-casting of how to use a bid bot and voice commentary. Please send a link to the video with your fribiz username. Making the video funny / cool will give you extra points!

Hello everyone!

Yes, it’s already here! The Fribiz toolbar was already launched. We are encouraging everyone to try our new great feature. You don’t have anything to lose, actually, everything is for your gain. What can you wish for more, just like what was mentioned in the other blog post, “You get your e-mail notification, Facebook control, Twitter control, Popup’s blocker.  It shows your local weather, Online Radio, YouTube Videos, Play Games, Internet Speed Test and much much more.” Most especially, every second of its usage means additional Fribiz points for you!

Well, we won’t elaborate more about the possible gain you can have just by using our toolbar. For more details, you can visit the previous article in our blog post: http://blog.fribiz.com/?p=464. Today, we are going to try to explain how you can make sure that your points from the toolbar are added to your Fribiz account.

1. First thing you need to do is of course to download the toolbar and install it to your PC.

In the Fribiz homepage, you can find a small box under the get Fribiz and buy Fribiz button that says NEW! FRIBIZ TOOLBAR. There is the word FREE DOWNLOAD that will directly bring you to the download page.

2. After the installation, you need to locate the Fribiz app within the browser. The app is an icon that has our logo – the violet man

3. The next step is essential in order to ensure that your points are added to your account. Upon clicking the located icon, you will see a box just like the picture below. You need to log-in to fribiz through the app.

4. You will notice that you are prompt to log-in to your facebook account. Don’t panic. The Fribiz app in the toolbar is based on facebook connect. After downloading and logging in to the app, you should no longer encounter any problem receiving your points.

5. However, if in any case that you still can’t see any additional points in your account, it may be because you haven’t linked your facebook to your Fribiz account. Unlike before, because of massive request from our dear users, we already stopped requiring members to register through facebook. Therefore, to those who haven’t connected their facebook to their Fribiz, in able to receive points from the toolbar, you need to connect it via the “Verify your Account” feature in http://www.fribiz.com/fribiz/get.

Again, we would like to remind you that you would only receive points if you stay logged-in to your Fribiz account in the Fribiz app found in the toolbar.

Hello Everyone!

I know you became so excited upon seeing bigger items in our auction list only to be a little bit sad having read that  the prize can’t be shipped to your home. Unfortunately, some of these items are restricted to certain countries for there are somethings that are outside of fribiz’ control.

For one, most of these big prizes are being bought by fribiz from Amazon and since it’s Amazon who delivers, their shipping limitation is our limitation as well. However, since we really wanted to give you more and make you happy, we have some good news!

Shipping limitation is no longer a problem, international members now have options.

If one user wins an item but is not eligble to Amazon’s shipping terms or any shipping companies fribiz will use to deliver your item, then, we will offer him/her to receive a paypal wire that has the same value to the auction he/she won.

However, if it is the prize that you really wanted to have, we can now allow you to use a third party help such as http://www.myus.com/ and http://www.foreignshopper.com/ to get a US address. Basically these sites will receive your item and they will be the one to send it to you!

First of all, we would like to ask an apology for the delay of this weekly mission. To make it up to you, we will announce some good news!

First of all, aside from the weekly mission, fribiz is opening “other missions” wherein the prizes are not only fribiz points but also some items that you love. Thanks to you, the fiddme and travel guide missions were a huge success. Unlike the weekly mission, these missions don’t have a regular schedule on when to appear so you better stay tuned always! They can last for a week, 3 days, one day or for some hours. This is a special thanks to those members who always check fribiz every now and then.

Second, we would like to say that our facebook page has gone better. Now, you can look at the pictures of the previous missions. You can interact with fellow fribiz members and at the same time, help fribiz to brainstorm for some new ideas in our discussion board.

Third, as of now, the only thing that we can leak is that there are lots of changes happening in fribiz in the next few weeks. So you really should stay tuned!

Lastly, we would like to inform you that fribiz.product@gmail.com is INDEED an email use by fribiz to ask an update from the winners of the auctions. So whenever you receive an email from such address, please don’t hesitate to respond to it.

Yes, you heard it right. Our next mission has something to do with Language. Here are the mechanics

MECHANICS:

1. translate the phrase ”GET WHAT YOU’RE WORTH” into ANY language. You shall choose one language only. It doesn’t need to be the language that you are using everyday. TIP: the more unique the chosen language is, the more chances of winning!

2. Write the translated word through any means that you like. (written in a paper, spell with stones, petals etc). The good news here is that you are not limited with tangible (physical) lettering. As for this mission, you can also use any softwares  (paint, photoshop) and any others.

3.  Capture the written word and put it in our facebook page.

4. Put your username and the language in the caption field.

RULES

1. You can only submit one picture for the entire length of the mission. If any member happens to submit more than once, we will consider his/her first entry as the official one.

2. You cannot submit any picture that is copyrighted or is showing anything obscene or abusive.

3. Be creative and unique :D

4. Upon submitting the picture, you are giving us the right to use it on campaigns/ PR marketing or any purpose that will be used for the good of fribiz.

Okay, here we go. Time to announce the winners of the last weekly mission.

Our third placer put the word fribiz in the back of his/her car so that people will see it every time the car travels! How public can it get. For that, we will award Pureskillz with 150 000 fribiz points. Congrats.

Hold your horses for a while :D  Before we announce the winners, let us congratulate all of the participants of the latest mission first. You all did a splendid job! We really had a hard time choosing who the winners are.

As stated in the mechanics, we listed the top ten submissions with the greatest number of likes. Then from those ten, we chose the best picture with the best descriptions among them. Therefore, the criteria of the winner is not only based on the number of likes but also the effectiveness of the user to convince the fribiz team to travel and visit their country. So what are we waiting for? Let’s now meet the winners!

This description is more than enough to convince the fribiz team that Israel is a place to visit if you are looking for a breathtaking sceneries with a community who is fun to mingle with. Israel is a crazy country. But israelies are known for their ability to forget for a moment from all the israeli stress and relax. this picture was taken in Jaffa, next to the beach. Just a few kilometers away, you can find a nonstop-craziness-fun city of Tel Aviv. obviously, in Tel Aviv the beaches aren’t as quiet as they are in other places in israel.
